About the Pattern

This easy button front vest is a real fashion "must have". It looks great layered over a long tunic shirt and is ideal on a summer's evening. It's very easy to make, the yarn makes it seem a breeze by keeping your interest going with its self striping.

This garment was knitted using my Woolhunter Almerino DK yarn in colourway Very Very Berry.

The stripes are achieved by the way the yarn has been dyed so you can sit back and relax whilst the yarn changes colour for you !

How it's done

I made this waistcoat using 250 grams of handpainted Woolhunter Almerino DK yarn. This will make a waistcoat for bust size 36 inches. Use an additional 25 grams for each additional 4 inches at the bust.

Tension/Gauge is 7 Stitches per inch in stockinette stitch using 3.75 mm/US 5 straight needles or a 3.75 mm/US 5 circular needle. You may wish to adjust the needles up or down to get the correct gauges.

This pattern is for sale from the Woolhunter shop. I can either send it through the post or electronically in pdf format.
