This superb cushion/pillow is really easy to make but looks impressively difficult to your friends. It is made using a simple knit stitch in two pieces and the two pieces are sewn together on completion.
Here I have used a mixture of Little Splash Yarn's Handspun Super Chunky/Bulky weight Border Leicester yarn in 3 differing colourways on random rows.
I made this cushion using a total of 300g / 10.5 oz (150 grams per side) of Little Splash Handspun Super Chunky/Bulky weight yarn but you could use any yarn that will achieve the tension/gauge below.
Tension/Gauge is not really important but 60 stitches and 60 rows should make a piece roughly 40 cms/16" square using a pair of 6.5mm/US 10½ straight needles.
The edging on this cushion was deliberately left plain but it would lend itself to either a corded edge, corner tassles or both. If you would like some advice please contact me using the "Feedback" form.
Be sure to buy enough to finish your project as some yarns have differing yardages and you may therefore need a third skein.
